Description
West Mexico, Ca 300 BCE/1300 CE. Large shell ear flare, perfed to allow for suspension of other decorative elements. 2 1/4" wide. Pair of small ear spools, each hollow and must have been for a youngster to get started in the process of growing large ear openings. 7/16" W. Finally, 5 shell dangles - used either for the ears or as bracelets for a young woman. 2" to 2-1/2" D.
Provenance: Ex-Lynn Langdon collection acquired in the 1950's.
