Cast Iron “Savings Chest” Still Bank, by Van Elyen-Henstep Detroit, Mich. c.1892. A six panel cast iron chest with relief decorated faux strap hinges on the top, winged cherub on one side, maiden on the other & coin counter display in the rear; the interior has a top plate with slots for pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars & dollar coins. Interior top plate has a break and repair, otherwise in very good condition, very rare; c. 1880’s-1890’s. 4.25 in. high x 6 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.
