Notable architectural work by Pierre Le Muet (1591-1669), the French architect famous for his book Manière de bâtir pour toutes sortes de personnes (1623 and 1647), and for the châteaux he constructed, most notably Tanlay in Burgundy, and the Hôtel d'Avaux in Paris.
Condition
Covers worn but sound, some staining to boards; occasional marginal worming, lacking two plates in the second part (nos. 13 and 29), else very good.
