Description
H 10 1/8 in. This was a very rare imperial porcelain of the Xuande Period (1426-1435). This dragon guan was decorated with a yellow background which could only be used by the Emperor. The blue-and-white glaze was fired to the perfect condition. Four dragon heads were also decorated on the shoulder. The rim was also painted with gold glaze which reflected in this elegant porcelain. Xuande porcelain was considered to be the best during Ming Dynasty.
