U.S. Model 1861 Rifle Musket, the Lock Plate is Stamped U.S. Over Providence Tool Co., Providence R.I. with 1864 Stamped behind the hammer. The rifle is in attic condition with a dark brownish, black patina over the stock and barrel. The Rifled has not been cleaned or disassembled for a long time. The Stock is in Fine Condition, with no cracks or breaks except for one small chip on the lower right side in front of the top barrel band. The only thing done to the gun finish was to rub it down with oil
