Description

An exhibition quality model of the rarely seen 3 1/2 inch gauge Southern Class S15 4-6-0 tender locomotive Greene King , No.841, built by the award winning builder Mr J. Wingate of Winchester from the design by Martin Evans and castings from Reeves of Birmingham, the silver soldered copper boiler with fittings including sight glass, pressure gauge, system drains, direction control lever, cab operated cylinder drain cocks, safety valve and clack, the chassis with twin outside cylinders having finely fluted motion with Walschaert's valve gear and ratchet driven oiler system, six-wheel tender with fitted steps, hand irons and lamp irons, water cocks and brake gear, finished in traditional Southern green and black lined livery, with fitted steps, lamp and hand irons, 119cm long, the cab 16cm wide; complete with a glazed display case and fitted display track.
