NEW YORK WATER BOTTLE, emerald green, pint size, embossed "CONGRESS & EMPIRE SPRING CO." arched over "SARATOGA, N.Y." with centered "C" trade mark, and to reverse "CONGRESS" arched over "WATER", applied sloping mouth with lower collar, slightly concave base. Attributed to Saratoga Mountain Glassworks. Third quarter 19th century. 7 3/4" H.

Provenance: From the collection of Janet and the late Michael J. Parmer, Waynesboro, VA.

Condition

Significant wear to shoulder left and above embossing, as well as below left of "C" trade mark, otherwise undamaged.
