AMERICAN "BEARS PAW" PIECED QUILT, period top comprising forty-nine 8" SQ blocks with various patterned prints and solids, elongated diamonds surrounded by white with red polka dot bands sashing. Later straight-line hand stitching, green floral print backing with hanging sleeve and white binding. Attributed to Albany/Syracuse, NY area. Top first quarter 20th century; back and quilting late 20th century. 76" x 78".
