Description
A vintage Soviet propaganda poster, promoting the construction of the Baikal–Amur Mainline (BAM), a railroad connecting the eastern and western parts of the Soviet Union. In 1956 he moved to Moscow, embarking on a successful career as a poster artist. His works were regularly shown at major poster exhibitions, both in the Soviet Union and in the West. Upon retiring in 1991, the artist turned to drawing. Russia, 1978; marked at lower left with artist's name (Reshetnikov). Dimensions: approx. 34" W x 22" H.
