This collection of diapositives depicts technical models of the Soviet space program

24 diapositives document different technical models, which were developed by the Soviet space program. The diapositives are stored inside a booklet, which contains information about the technical models. The views of the spaceships Vostok 1 to 6 are included. Inside the booklet there is a note in German ‘Kubassow, Leonow and model of the connected Soyuz and Apollo space shuttles’. The diapositives are in very good condition and the booklet is in condition with traces of use. The dimensions are 3.5 x 2.4 cm (diapositives), 5 x 5 cm (diapositive cases) and 21 x 14 cm (album).



The lot also contains three original boxes with each 29 double diapositives. They were manufactured by the company PoliTeh in Moscow in 1992. The double diapositives document the orbital complex ‘MIR’, Russia’s manned space station, which orbited the earth from 1986 until 2001. The diapositives depict shots of the station as well as the singular modules. Every box bears a list of the depictions. The diapositives are in very good condition and the boxes display signs of use. The diapositives are each 2.3 x 2.9 cm in size, the cases of the double slides each 4.5 x 1 cm and the dimensions of the boxes are each 5 x 10 x 2.8 cm.
