Collection of Japanese Scrolls
Japanese, early 20th century. A group of four kakejiku, or hanging scrolls, in ink and paint. Three paintings are mounted on silk and depict ships, women wearing kimonos, and white and pink peonies. Each signed l.l. or l.r. The fourth painting is mounted on rice paper and depicts a persimmon tree with bird. Signed l.r. and reverse by master Seishiro Shimokaw. Lg. 73 in. (largest).
