1861 sheet music, "The 'Contraband' Schottisch", 6pp., 10 1/4" x 13 1/8", composed by Septimus Winner" (Philadelphia: Lee & Walker, 1861) with a finely illustrated front cover engraved by Oliver & Ditson, Boston, Mass. showing a slave master chasing several slaves who run for their freedom out the front door of the plantation house. Light foxing, else very good. A "schottische" is a partnered country dance.
