Rare salesman's sample of Illustrated Lives and Adventures of Frank and Jesse James and the Younger Brothers, The Noted Western Outlaws, by Hon. J. A Dacus (St. Louis: N. D. Thompson & Co.), 1882. Approx. 250 of the complete 458pp. are present, with the two different binding samples affixed to the inside front cover. Promotional advertisement is the last page, along with two pages of handwritten orders taken by this sample book's owner. In rough shape with front and rear covers loosening from spine, toning to contents, a few sketches in blank areas - still a rare copy.
