Eddie Beyuka (Zuni, 1920-2002) Channel Inlay BolosÂ
lot of 2, includes a dancer wearing a full headdress and holds a drum and beater, bolo inlaid with mother-of-pearl, jet, turquoise, and coral; back of bolo inscribed Edward Beyuka/ Yr. 1978, and drum tips stamped EAB, length of figure 6 in.; AND a hoop dancer inlaid with similar materials and holds four hoops; reverse and drum tips stamped EAB, length of figure 6 in.

Beyuka (Zuni, 1920-2002) is renown not only for his beautifully inlaid bolos featuring colorful inlaid katsinas, but also for his outstanding WWII record. He was a Bataan Death March survivor and a Prisoner of War.
