Large Painted German Stein. Domical pewter lid with figural griffin thumb rest, painted interior scene with a woman seated by a tavern table with 2 men presenting flowers to her and has fancy decorated borders above and below. Has 2 small chips along one border, no cracks, breaks, repairs or hairlines; collar, lid and hinge are in excellent condition and tight, handle is free from damage and repair. 20 in. high.
