This lot is for a tin-over-cardboard (TOC) button sign for Highlander Beer from the Missoula Brewing Company in Missoula, Montana circa 1950. The sign has a cardboard back with a celluloid face, much like an old pinback button. The rolled edge holds the cardboard back into the face of the sign. This sign has an easel on the back so it could be set on a counter (besides having a string to hang it on the wall). The silver is very shiny and looks like a piece of chrome or mirror. The sign's back got wet at some point, for the backing is warped and there are some white stains on the front edge of the sign. Still, this is a sign we do not see every day!
