This lot features an assortment of fifteen different arrowheads or points. These were all found at the Fern Ridge Reservoir near Eugene, Oregon. This type of arrowhead is most often referred to as a Calapooia point, which has had three spellings used over the years: Calapooya, Calapooia, and Kalapooya. The smallest piece is approximately 1/2 of an inch x 1/2 of an inch and the largest piece is approximately 1 inch x 3/4 of an inch. These are from the collection of Frank Buehler and have not been offered for public sale until now. While taking the pictures, we found that one of the points has some paper glued to one side that can be easily removed (but we decided to leave that to the winning bidder).
