Item Details
Description
Offered is a Columbia River arrowhead that was found at the Maybe site, which is a well known Late Archaic to Paleo site that produced many points and tools. This artifact is one of the largest in the collection at approximately 4-1/2 inches x 1-5/8 inches. This artifact was found by Walt and Gladys Koch, who were members of the Oregon Archaeological Society. One note about this point: there is what appears to be a crack running its length; however, it is actually a flaw in the rock and looks like a vein of quartz.
