Item Details

Description

This is a Vintage US Navy Helicopter Rescue Basket, Purportedly Last Used on the USS Nimitz Aircraft Supercarrier During the 1970’s. This rescue basket may even predate the USS Nimitz according to its previous owner. The USS Nimitz is one of the largest warships in the world. The basket is made of metal piping and appears to have its original wood planks. The basket measures approximately 24” wide at the top and 84” long. This vintage rescue basket is in very good condition for its age and would definitely be a wonderful conversation or collector piece. Please view photos of this unique item to determine condition.
