Manufactured by Rosenthal, Studio-line, Verner Panton, one of the most unconventional Danish designers worked from 1950-53 for Arne Jacobsen. In 1955 he opened his own design office. In the early 1960's Verner Panton left Denmark, went first to Paris and Cannes, and later to Basel. In 1963 he received his first internationally Design Award.
Panton became famous particularly by his unconventionell room designs with extraordinery colours and excentric furniture.
