Typical issues with a 150 year old paperback book: a few pages splitting, bends, folds and tears at corners, fold-out map has two tears where connected to page. 2) Appleton’s Railroad and Steamboat Companion, 1849. The many, many maps are in good condition (some folds at the edges). 3) Appleton’s Southern and Western Traveler’s Guide, 1850. Heavy foxing. One fold-out map has a large tear and the other has been glued. Cover in excellent condition. 4) Appleton’s National Railway and Steam Navigation Guide for the United States and Canada, September, 1883. Has been put in hard cover and has repairs.
