A Chinese Ink and Color Painting on Silk, after Jiang Tingxi (1669-1732),
signed Chen Jiang Tingxi Gonghui with two seals to the lower left, depicting an archaistic bronze vase on a wire inlaid stand, bearing flowering peonies and prunus branches, set amongst other objects including a bamboo decorated vase with gilt bronze censer articles, peaches, a scholar's rock and flowers set within a planter on a cinnabar lacquered base, a porcelain cylindrical stacking box, a cloisonne enamel on gilt bronze censer and cover and a seven-section cylindrical porcelain vase.
Height 36 1/2 x width 23 7/8 inches.
Condition: In overall good complete condition, a few minor horizontal creases, toning, light wear and discoloration, mounted on a frayed paper backing.
