DESCRIPTION: This is a colonial mortised through handmade wooden paint decorated cricket stool from New England circa 1820s. The mortised through cricket stool is made of pine wood. The mortised through cricket stool still retains most of its original red paint decoration except for the top. There are side aprons that are attached by wrought iron nails. The cricket stool has splat boot jack splayed legs that are mortised through the top of the stool. MEASUREMENTS: 17 inches long 8 inches high, and 7 inches wide.

Excellent condition with age appropriate patina.
