Item Details
Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima to Nayarit, Ca 300 BCE/CE. First is a grinding stone, looking a bit like a Native American discoidal, or gray basalt in very rounded form with flattened areas to each side - 3" D. Next is a stone "ball." Completely rounded and showing no wear or usage on any surface. I am a bit stumped over the purpose for this item, but perhaps they played a very wicked form of ball with it. 2-1/2" D.
