The manuscript document was issued and signed by Thomas Jackson, His Majesty's Minister Plenipotentiary at the Court of Turin, for the repayment of his extraordinary disbursements from the 5th July to 10th October 1800, for 'stationery, postage of letters and packets, Intelligence, Memorials', totalling £75. Signed by Grenville at the foot, authorising the payment of the bill, in his capacity as Foreign Secretary 1791-1801. Countersigned by George Hammond (1763-1853) British Diplomat, the first British Envoy to the United States 1791-95. Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs 1795-1806, 1807-09. VG €125-190
