Item Details

Description

Van Briggle Figural Vase, 20th c., in matte blue, closely related to the "Anna Van" model, signed on the underside, H.- 17 in., Dia.- 10 1/8 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age. A small set of black lines are observed on the figure’s knee, and three small black smudges are observed in the figure’s hair. A raised white fleck is noted along the base behind the figure, and a few flea-sized silver spots are noted on the base in front of the figure. The edges of the base are observed as being slightly dirty, with several black smudges and discolorations. No apparent cracks or repairs. An intriguing example. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD “AS IS.” NO STATEMENT REGARDING CONDITION OF ANY ITEM, WHETHER IT IS MADE ORALLY AT THE AUCTION OR ANY OTHER TIME, OR IN WRITING IN THE CATALOGUE OR ELSEWHERE, SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE A WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY.
