An early 20th century 18ct gold and platinum ruby, diamond and seed pearl brooch. The square-shape ruby and diamond point undulating line, with replacement seed pearl quarterly intervals, to the rose-cut diamond geometric frame. Length 2.8cms. Weight 7.4gms.

Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age. File marks to a small area of the reverse. Later added hinged safety bridge, slightly different in hue. Replacement seed pearls with glue residue. Gemstones well matched. Rubies pinkish-red, moderate to good colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions.
