Description
An early 19th century silver and gold emerald and diamond cluster ring. The rectangular-shape emerald, within an old-cut diamond double surround, to the scrolling shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.85ct. Approximate emerald dimensions: 8.8 by 7 by 5mms. Weight 8.8gms.
Condition
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized with slight discolouration and unevenness to the back of the band. Two small spherical additions to the inside of the band. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. The emerald is in a partially closed back setting, the centre of the setting is open. The emerald appears a light, vibrant, medium slightly bluish green hue.
