Description
The lid is stamped CVRR in standard, crisp Adams & Westlake lettering. Thsi predates the RY lettering. The frame has a twist off bell that is frozen on. Some wd-40 will fix that. The frame has 8 ice spikes on the bottom. This is a feature found on some early New England and Canadian frames. Another New England feature is the glass fount. The spikes help to anchor the lantern on ice. The frame is square and solid. The globe is 5 3/8" tall and is a Corning style with CVRY cast in an oval panel. The globe also has the Corning "Cnx" hallmark. The frame could be cleaned of its surface rust.
