Item Details

Description

An unusual Dietz Vesta model in all brass. It has the unusual lid 3 lines where the lid latch is supported from the ribs on the top. It has patent dates from 1909 and the "S" date is S-8-31 for August of 1931. It has a smooth pot (not fluted) and it has bail lock-down ears. The burner is not brass. This lantern is in much better condition than most brass models. The S date area is easy to read. No spotty tarnish at all. It displays really well. The globe is a Corning B&M RR cast in a panel. It might look better with a plain globe.
