A very nice silver cane with tropical coastal and nautical scenes. The silver knob and stem handle is 5" high and 1 3/4" across the flat mushroom top. Etched in niello on the top, is a detailed tropical coastal scene. On the stem are two coastal scenes of sailing boats, palm trees and natives along with a decorative ring of bars and blocks. The shaft is black-painted hardwood that ends with a 1" black horn ferrule. The overall length is 36" and the condition is very good. It was probably fashioned in the Orient, sometime in the early 20th Century. Estimate: $500-$700.
