An Egyptian light blue-green faience tile, 3rd Dynasty, c. 2686 - 2613 BC, of convex rectangular form and pierced at the back just beneath a raised rectangular lug. 2 3/8 in x 1 ½ in (5.8 x 3.8 cm). Attractive pale blue color with minor chipping and weathering. Cf. F. Dunn Friedman, Gifts of the Nile, Ancient Egyptian Faience.
