Originally published in France with a total of 18 volumes from 1914 to 1938, which only Vols. 1-10 and 13 were translated into English. Formerly in the John Crerar Library, perforated stamps to title-pages, rubberstamps to plate versos, withdrawn rubberstamps on pastedowns, etc.

Some soiling and other wear to covers, two lacking portions of spine strips; contents fresh and very good.
