(4to) 32x25 cm. (12½x9¾"), three-quarters brown morocco & cloth, spine tooled in gilt, raised bands, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. First Edition.

The author was Head Librarian at Windsor Castle and was later given the status as Sir Richard Holmes.

Condition

Scuffing to joints and extremities, marginal darkening to cloth; ownership inscription to front flyleaf dated 1906, new endpapers, about very good.
