Description
To include a fitted wood case with brass tag for Earl Poulett, William John Lydston Poulett, 7th Earl Poulett (1883-1918), fought in the First World War as a Captain in the Royal Horse Artillery and died on active service in 1918 on French soil, case comprised of his ceremonial robe, jacket, vest, shoes, hat, belt, gloves, sashes and crown lining, with tags for Ede & Ravenscroft the official court tailors and robe makers, robe tag inscribed "Earl Poulett", together with a British cavalry ceremonial hat, WWI era, decorated with Royal coat of arms, along with a dress cutlass and old military photograph, measuring approximately 30.4"L in sheath.
Purchased at an auction in London several years ago.
