Description
B flat. "Nevers' 2nd Regiment Band, 3rd New Hampshire Volunteers". Purchased at auction in 1967 from the descendents of D. Arthur Brown (band leader). unsigned. Trumpet appears in photograph taken at Hilton Head South Carolina on February 28, 1862 and found seated (4th) from left. Length 20 inches. Together with its period velvet sack sewn with the band's monogram and pamphlet giving the history of the instrument.
Condition
Minor split to lead pipe and small dings and bumps to bell.
