(set) Entry doors from the Driskill Hotel, Austin, Texas, one side with a foliate and shell carved crest over a large acid etched frosted glass panel having foliate decoration and the monogram JLD, at center a turned ribbed push bar over the lower door with a foliate carved circular panel, retaining the original handle with lockplate, the opposite side with panels, each door approx: 106"h, 35.25"w with 1" trim one door *Note: The Driskill hotel was built in 1886 by Jesse Lincoln Driskill (Tennessee, Texas, 1824-1890). During the Lyndon Johnson presidency the a fifth-floor suite, known as the GovernorÆs Suite, was permanently reserved for President Johnson. During the 2000 Florida recount, George W. Bush set up temporary White House offices in the Driskill Ballroom. The hotel has undergone a number of renovations. Start Price: $800.00
