Eduardo Ponjuan experimented with old, classic text forms and combines them with modern equipment, which is especially expressed in his relief and sculptural works
The work presented here was created by the Cuban artist Eduardo Ponjuan in 2003. It is a digital print on canvas. The artist combines different typographic typefaces from different eras, which he designed in the style of a collage.
The work is overall in very good condition with only slight signs of wear. The image size measures 93 x 154 cm. Dimensions framed: 97 x 158 cm.
Eduardo Ponjuan (born 1956)
Eduardo Ponjuan was born in 1956 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. There he attended the local art school in 1974, in 1978 the National School of Art in Cubanacan, and in 1983 the Higher Art Institute in Havana. His work is to be found in the collection of the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, and the Wifredo Lam Center of Contemporary Art as well as the Ludwig Forum in Aachen. (cru)
