TERRESTRIAL GLOBE COVERED DISH, colorless, Columbia head finial. O'Hara Glass Co. Circa 1876. 9" HOA, 4 3/4" H base, 8" DOA base, 5 3/4" D lid, 4 1/8" D foot.

Literature: Lindsey - American Historical Glass, p. 125, No. 113. Sanford - Victorian Glass Novelties, p. 136.

Provenance: From the collection of Dr. Larry McCallister, Muncie, IN.
Catalogue Note: An extremely rare and iconic example of American Historical pressed glass that has survived in remarkable condition.

Condition

Undamaged except for some minor mold roughness to top of finial, and several very minor flakes to cover rim and inner rim of base.
