Anna B. Sellers (American, 1824-1905). Oil on board, housed in gilt frame. A double portrait of painter Rembrandt Peale's two daughters, Eleanor and Rosalba, copied after Peale's own painting titled The Sisters. Seller’s was the granddaughter to Charles Willson Peale. The portrayal shows the two sisters side by side, one girl having her hand on her sister's coat. Unsigned, but with a letter by Sellers, who was Peale's niece, affixed to reverse of frame; 24 x 18 in. (sight).Â
