The Patent Elevating Dental Chair, 1869

American, 1869. Merritt Asay's Elevating Dental Chair, in mahogany. Original inscribed patent label from Asay, and wonderful stenciling at the crest and base of chair in gilt. Cranking mechanism lowers and raises seat of chair; ht. 16 in.

Provenance: Previously from the Collection of Mr. and Mrs. O. Rundle Gilbert's Patent Models, Garrison, NY

Condition

Damage to upholstery backing. Chair is currently operational.
