Item Details
Description
An authentic German designed sword made for Cuban officers. Etched in the guard of the sword is the year 1855, directly under that are the initials J.M.C., and on the opposite side a flower . There is also a makers mark on the top of the sword handle, the letters "J.P." The condition of the sword leads me to believe that the sword was used in battle. The handle and blade reach 32" in length (the blade is approximately 1 3/8" in width). From a Private New York Collection.
