Description
Derriere Le Miroir (Behind the Mirror) was an artistic and literary French journal founded in 1946 by Aimé Maeght . It was published until 1982.
The magazine was launched in October 1946 and was published continuously until 1982, often featuring original color lithographs by Maeght-represented artists.
What many collectors do not realize is that the magazine was devoted exclusively to artists who exhibited at the Galerie Maeght either in solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, or both.
The present lot is the cover only (an original color lithograph by Alexander Calder) and not the entire journal. Excellent condition.
