This piece has extensive restoration. it has some light minor impasto crushing from repair to the cracks, and a heavy varnish layer masking restorations. It appears to have been recently cleaned. There is some light cracking to the paint beneath the heavy varnish layer. There are a few 1" - 3" diameter areas of light paint loss to the upper left edge of the oval that are blended and stabilized under the varnish. There is light chipping and painting loss on the edges where the frame is rubbing the surface of the painting. This painting appears to have been recently restricted and lined.
