French, 18th century. Provincial table with serpentine top composed of walnut wood with shaped apron raised on four cabriole legs terminating on hoofed feet. Marked on underside with incised mark of crown above ML within oval. Verso of apron and underside of top with painted black marks P. 829 and remnant of numbered label. Approximate height 29.125", width 49", depth 25".Provenance: Estate of Mr. Charles Edward Brodnax "Ned" Hansell, Mimosa Hall, Atlanta, Georgia.
