Four printed cotton deshabille or morning robes, 1840s-60s. in a variety of floral and striped prints (4)

• Tan with rose chintz pattern and paisley print ciff and neck edgings – frayed cuff edgings, very slight discolourations along front paisley bands, waistline has been lowered but looks like a 19th century alteration as the girl grew. Very slight discolouration at nape of neck and fraying at neck edge. Faint brown discolouration at right hip area but very hard to see • Brown and white striped – exterior with overall damp mottling, contrasting inner lining with perspiration stains generally • Blue and brown lattice print – 2cm split in left inside arm of sleeve, slightly soiled appearance generally, 2 small pinhead holes and 1cm L-shaped tear on left chest area, otherwise good condition • Tan and blue paisley print – has boned calico inner bodice approx. 6cm diam brown stain on left shoulder area, faint brown discolourations to rear skirt but not immediately noticeable due to pattern
