Walter Hill's "Streets Of Fire" (1984) was one of the most strikingly visual films ever produced. This was created by literally tarpping the entire massive New York street sets at Universal Studios, to give the film an "other world" look. It takes place in a time and place that is never resolved, creating a past-present-future quality. This action film noir is about Tom Cody (Michael Pere) who goes on a search for his ex-girlfriend Ellen (Diane Lane), who has been kidnapped by a gang. Like Hill's cult classic "The Warriors" (1979), it's a world without law, and ruled by roaming gangs. This is a screen used leather jacket by one of these gangs, "The Scorpions". Their logo, a scorpion, that creates the "S" in their name, followed by a "Scorpion Chevy" which is embroidered on the back.
