Konk Rare Promotional Party Mix Record Signed By Drummer Richard Edson - For KONK fans, an extremely rare never released promotion 12" disk of four track DJ mixes created on Celluloid Records. It includes their hits "Konk Party", and "Uptown Breakdown", as well as "Master Cylinder Jam", and "D.J. Mixers". Formed in 1980 in New York City, KONK had the amazing ability to create its own unique sound while mixing New-Wave, Disco and Post-Punk. With elements of Afro-Beat, Funk, Hip-Hop and Jazz, KONK created a sound that personified good will, all-day-and-night-partying, and constant movement. A great deal of this is due to the talents of drummer Richard Edson (who also played trumpet on many of the cuts), who had just come off the first year as drummer of "Sonic Youth". Edson went on to a career as an actor in a series of films that were to become both cult favorites and classics, such as "Do The Right Thing", "Eight Men Out", "Platoon", and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". This rare treasure of music history is from Edson's personal private collection. On request he will autograph the album and/or dust cover to the buyer.
