This print from 2014 shows the typical motif of the Berlin artist, a woman's figure. She lies on her right side and fits with the propped right arm and the upwardly angled legs perfectly into the landscape-format sheet, which it fills dominant. A shadowy figure which appears behind the woman complemented the composition that is determined by red and blue.

The giclée print is signed lower right in pencil „Bach“, and numbered lower left in pencil ‘26/50’. The sheet is in very good condition. The full-sheet image measures 44.7 x 61.3 cm

Elvira Bach (b. 1951)

Elvira Bach was born 1951 in Neuenhain, Germany. Belonging to the Berlin group of the artist movement ‘Junge Wilde’, she is known for her colorful and expressive depictions of women, which mostly show herself. Bach studied at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Hadamar and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. She went on study trips to the Dominican Republic, Senegal, Saint Lucia and Italy. In 1982 she participated at the documenta 7. Today she works and lives in Berlin. (fea)
