Scarce guide to the many airfields in the West, indicating the burgeoning nature of aviation during the 1920s. The listing for each airfield gives its type, (commercial, municipal, emergency, etc.), size, location, identifying features, runway constitution, etc., as well as the phone number of local Standard Oil plant and services. OCLC/WorldCat lists only five copies, at the New York Public Library, the University of California Berkeley, the University of California Irvine, the University of Oregon, and the Museum of Flight. The present copy has the ownership signature on the front free endpaper of Ed. J. La Due, Long Beach Calif. Municipal Airport.
